The 2025 NFL Pro Bowl Games kick off on Thursday with the Pro Bowl Skills Showdown from the Nicholson Fieldhouse at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Fla. The event begins at 7 p.m. ET (ESPN) and will run until 8:30 p.m. ET, when day one concludes.

We break down the Pro Bowl Skills Showdown odds by analyzing each of the seven events for the weekend from a betting lens. Passing the Test, Satisfying Catches, the Relay Race, and Helmet Harmony will all take place on Thursday, Jan. 30, with Punt Perfect, The Great Football Race, and Tug-of-War wrapping things up on Sunday, Feb. 2.

Most of the Pro Bowl Skills Showdown consists of backyard-style games relating to football where the NFL's best athletes can show off their skills on television. The odds at our best NFL betting sites reflect the unpredictable nature of these competitions as they list the AFC and NFC as co-favorites with juiced -115 odds.

The one competition that has differing lines is the Relay Race. Oddsmakers have the most relevant data necessary to handicap this event, which is why one side is legitimately favored. The AFC holds a -130 advantage over the NFC (+100), which gives it a 56.52% implied probability of winning the event.

2025 Pro Bowl Skills Showdown competitions & betting lines

Passing the Test

  • AFC: -115 (53.49% implied probability)
  • NFC: -115 (53.49% implied probability)

Passing the Test is your everyday test of a quarterback's accuracy ... with a twist. Quarterbacks will have 40 seconds to hit targets of various point values across the field. However, before the timer begins, individuals will select a Pro Bowl teammate to answer five trivia questions about, and they'll be given an extra 10 seconds for every correct response.

The winning team - AFC or NFC - is decided by the highest-scoring quarterback.

Satisfying Catches

  • AFC: -115 (53.49% implied probability)
  • NFC: -115 (53.49% implied probability)

Three players from each team (one wideout, one tight end, and one defensive back) will compete in an obstacle course. This run will require competitors to catch three passes thrown from jugs machines at different distances.

The players will compete back-to-back and the team with the lowest combined time will be named the winner.

Relay Race

  • AFC: -130 (56.52% implied probability)
  • NFC: +100 (50% implied probability)

We all know how a relay race works, right? The NFL Pro Bowl Games Relay Race consists of four players from each conference. Each team's representative will simultaneously run a 40-yard dash before handing a football off to the next runner. This process will continue until the final leg crosses the finish line.

The teams will run three rounds and - it almost goes without saying - the fastest conference wins.

Helmet Harmony

  • AFC: -115 (53.49% implied probability)
  • NFC: -115 (53.49% implied probability)

Helmet Harmony is an entire event centered around the prelude to Passing the Test. Not really, but it's similar. Helmet Harmony is a game show designed to test a player's knowledge of his teammates. Every correct answer will see the individual awarded one point and the team with the highest score at the event's completion wins.

A game of dodgeball will follow Helmet Harmony and conclude Thursday's events. However, it is worth noting that there are no betting odds for the three-round tournament featuring six teams with five players each.

Punt Perfect

  • AFC: -115 (53.49% implied probability)
  • NFC: -115 (53.49% implied probability)

Do you think you know what Punt Perfect is? Well, you're wrong - kind of. If you said it's an event where punters compete to test each other's accuracy, you get the premise, give yourself a pat on the back or a gold star. But as with other events in the 2025 Pro Bowl Skills Showdown, the NFL has added a wrinkle.

Punt Perfect sees two players from each conference line up to punt from the 35-yard line. These competitors will consist of one punter and one non-punter from the AFC and NFC respectively. Together, they'll attempt to get as many punts as possible into six buckets lined up in the end zone.

Each bucket is worth one point, with every fifth punt's point value being tripled. The two highest scorers are declared the victors.

The Great Football Race

  • AFC: -115 (53.49% implied probability)
  • NFC: -115 (53.49% implied probability)

The Great Football Race is a relay race containing five challenges. The event will culminate with a sled push. The team - each consisting of six players - to cross the finish line first wins.

Tug-of-War

  • AFC: -115 (53.49% implied probability)
  • NFC: -115 (53.49% implied probability)

Tug-of-War is a five-on-five spin on the classic contest featuring some of the NFL's biggest names positioned above a foam pit. They'll attempt to pull the rope over the halfway mark in their direction and knock their adversaries into the aforementioned pit.

This is the only event returning under the same name and format from last year's Pro Bowl Games. The NFC swept the best-of-three event last time out, earning three points to its overall score.
