Will there be an octopus: Yes (+1400 via DraftKings)

For clarity, an “octopus” is when a player scores a touchdown and that same player converts the ensuing two-point conversion for a total of eight points. It does not get much bolder than betting the “yes” for this novelty prop, as there have been 175 octopuses in NFL history and just six this season.

However, both quarterbacks, Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes, have done it this season, making the wager all the more enticing. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, in particular, is not averse to crazy play-calling (see the “snow globe” trick play versus the Las Vegas Raiders), and in what projects to be a high-scoring game, it becomes likelier each team will need to attempt a two-point conversion at some point. - Spector

Isaiah Pacheco two touchdowns and Chiefs win (+1100 via DraftKings)

Pacheco has just five rushing touchdowns this season, but he has played a big role in helping the Chiefs get to the Super Bowl. In the AFC Championship Game, his rushing numbers left a lot to be desired, but he did make a great impact in the passing game. With the Chiefs' wide receiver corps depleted, he pulled in five catches for 59 yards. 

While a lot of the focus has been on Jerick McKinnon's ability to catch the ball out of the backfield and find the end zone, Pacheco has shown that he is the guy this postseason. He had a touchdown called back against the Cincinnati Bengals, and while it means nothing from a stat perspective, it showed that the Chiefs are willing to use him more in the red zone, as McKinnon takes a bit of a backseat. Look for one receiving and one rushing touchdown from Pacheco, as he plays a key role in the Chiefs' win on Sunday. - Wood

Eagles alternate spread: -14 (+497 via DraftKings)

In the 1980s and 90s, many started calling the Super Bowl the ‘Super Bore’ because of how many blowouts there were in the NFL championship game. The Super Bowls has generally been more competitive since then, but it’s still not that rare to see teams win by a comfortable margin. In fact, five of the last nine Super Bowls have been decided by double digits, including the Chiefs’ 22-point loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers just two years ago.

So even though the point spread for this year’s clash between the Eagles and Chiefs should close below a field goal, don’t rule out the possibility of either team pulling away for an easy win. And I can’t think of a team that is better equipped to do that than Philadelphia, thanks to a powerful running game that can melt time off the clock with extended drives and a defense that is the NFL’s best against the pass.

If Kansas City finds itself down a couple of scores in the second half and is forced to throw its way back into the game, that only makes things easier for Philly’s ferocious pass rush to make life difficult for Mahomes. Speaking of Mahomes, there’s no guarantee that he doesn’t re-aggravate the ankle injury that hobbled him in the AFC Championship Game, and several of his receivers are also banged up. Seven of Philadelphia’s 16 wins this year were by more than two touchdowns, and the formula is there for another lopsided Eagles victory in Super Bowl 57. - Cooper

JuJu Smith-Schuster most receiving yards (+1600 via FanDuel)

From Weeks 12 to 17, Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster had only two games with more than three receptions. Even though he mostly stayed on the field, he seemed hampered by physical ailments during that time. But with the extra week to rest after getting banged up in the AFC Championship Game, JuJu is reportedly looking good in practice this week.

If the Eagles make it a priority to bracket Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, I could see the floodgates open up for Smith-Schuster to enjoy a big evening. Kansas City's de facto WR1 is sixth on the odds board at FanDuel to lead the Super Bowl in receiving yards. Given my expectation that the Eagles will look to establish the run to limit the high-end opportunities for their receivers, I like the value of Smith-Schuster at +1600 to emerge as the game's leading pass-catcher. - Schaeffer
