The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles met in the Big Game two years ago in what was an instant classic, and the updated Super Bowl moneyline odds suggest we could be in for another tightly contested affair.

Kansas City will try to become the first team to win three straight Super Bowls when these squads clash on Feb. 9 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans (6:30 p.m. ET, FOX)

The Chiefs were -125 moneyline favorites by the opening Super Bowl odds, and the prices have moved slightly in their favor since then.

The moneyline odds for Super Bowl 2025 are moving, and the Chiefs, as expected, are the Super Bowl odds favorites across our best NFL betting sites.

Their moneyline odds range from -125 to -130, with the best odds coming from Caesars and bet365. The -125 odds represent a 55.56% implied win probability, according to our odds calculator. A winning $10 bet will yield an $8 profit.

On the more pricey side of the range, FanDuel, DraftKings, and BetMGM are at -130, odds that represent a 56.52% implied probability, paying a $7.69 profit if the Chiefs complete the three-peat.

Eagles Super Bowl 2025 moneyline odds

The underdog Eagles' moneyline odds range from +105 to +110, with the best odds coming from DraftKings, FanDuel, and BetMGM. Their +110 odds carry a 47.62% win probability.

The Chiefs' odds have already shortened, with the public getting behind them to win a third straight. The prices for Kansas City could continue to move in that direction. I'd play the Chiefs down to -140, so it's in your best interest to jump on the -125 while you still can.

1. Point spread betting (covering the spread)

In point spread betting, one team is considered the "favorite" and the other the "underdog." The favorite must win by a certain number of points (the spread) for a bet on them to win. The underdog can either win outright or lose by fewer points than the spread to win the bet.

Example:

The Chiefs are -1.5 (-115) favorites vs. the Eagles, who are +1.5 (-105) underdogs
If you bet on the Chiefs, they must win by at least two points to cover the spread. If you back the Eagles, they must either win the game or lose by one point to cover
A $115 bet on the Chiefs would pay a $100 profit if they win by at least two points
A $105 bet on the Eagles would pay a $100 profit if they lose by one point or win the Super Bowl

2. Moneyline betting (straight bet on the winner)

In a moneyline bet, you are simply betting on which team will win the game, with the odds reflecting the likelihood of each team winning.

Example:

The Chiefs are the -125 favorites, while the Eagles are the +105 underdogs at DraftKings
The negative number preceding the Chiefs' odds (-125) represents the favorite, while the positive number before the Eagles' odds (+105) signifies the underdog
You'll win a $100 profit if you place a $125 bet on the Chiefs and they win
You'll earn a $105 profit if you place a $100 bet on the Eagles and they win

3. Over/Under (total points)

With an Over/Under bet, you are predicting whether the total combined points of both teams will be higher or lower than a set number.

4. Prop bets (proposition bets)

Prop bets are wagers on specific events or statistics during the game, such as which player will score the first touchdown, how many yards a player will rush, or whether the game will have a safety.

Example:

Will the first touchdown be scored by a wide receiver? Yes (-120), No (+100)
In this case, a $120 bet on "Yes" would win $100 if the first touchdown is scored by a wide receiver. A $100 bet on "No" would win $100 if the first touchdown is scored by someone else.
The -120 odds imply a 54.55% win probability, while the +100 odds have a 50% implied probability

5. Parlay betting

A parlay allows you to combine multiple bets (point spread, moneyline, over/under, etc.) into one bet. The potential payout increases because you’re betting on several outcomes, but all of them must win for you to collect.

Example:

You could parlay the Chiefs on the moneyline (-125) and the Over 49.5 (-105). If both bets win, you’ll receive a larger payout than betting on each individually.
At time of writing, the combined odds of the example above are +251. A winning $100 bet would yield a $251 profit
In comparison, if you placed a $50 wager on each individually, you'd earn a total profit of $87.62

What do Super Bowl odds mean?

Summary of American odds:

Negative odds (-): Indicates the favorite, and how much you need to bet to win $100. For example, -150 means you need to bet $150 to win $100.
Positive odds (+): Indicates the underdog, and how much you would win if you bet $100. For example, +200 means a $100 bet would win you $200 if the underdog wins.

When placing a bet, you’ll also typically encounter the term "juice" or "vig", which is the sportsbook's commission. Most bets are listed at odds of -110, meaning you’d have to bet $110 to win $100.
