Super Bowl MVP Odds for Chiefs vs. Eagles: Mahomes' Lead as Favorite Grows Over Barkley, Hurts

It's a very familiar face atop the 2025 Super Bowl MVP odds, with the Big Game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, Feb. 9, just more than a week away.
Players from both teams will look to put on a show for the crowd at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, and one will walk away with additional hardware for doing so.
The Super Bowl MVP odds were first posted before the 2025 NFL playoffs began, but the same player has remained the favorite throughout.
Here are the 2025 Super Bowl MVP odds ahead of Chiefs vs. Eagles, with the latest Super Bowl odds listing Kansas City as a slight betting favorite.

Super Bowl MVP odds listed below via our best sportsbooks as of Friday, Jan. 31
Patrick Mahomes (+110)
It isn't just the Chiefs who are looking for the three-peat. Patrick Mahomes has won Super Bowl MVP twice in a row, and he's seeking to defend his crown in this rematch against the Eagles from two years ago.
This seems like the obvious bet to make, even if it is at +110 odds. There's certainly still value at that price if you're backing the Chiefs to win, as you need to assume a Kansas City victory would result in much better than a 50/50 chance that Mahomes is crowned the game's most valuable player.
A winning $10 wager at this price would result in an $11 profit.
Best odds: +110 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 47.62%
2025 Super Bowl MVP odds: Dark-horse contenders
Saquon Barkley (+280)
You can't go wrong with either Saquon Barkley or Jalen Hurts if you believe the Eagles can exact revenge for their loss two years ago.
Barkley will surely be given all the touches he can handle, while Hurts could end up with another touchdown trifecta like he did in the NFC title game thanks to the tush push.
The running back is trading at slightly shorter odds. But he also holds the much higher ceiling, so this bet depends on what you value more.
Best odds: +280 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 26.32%
Jalen Hurts (+375)
Hurts finally remembered how to throw the ball against the Washington Commanders, finishing with 246 passing yards after managing only 259 combined in the prior two games. Hurts also added the aforementioned three rushing touchdowns in the massive victory.
Quarterbacks have been named Super Bowl MVP in 11 of the past 15 seasons. Barkley might get the talent advantage, but history is on Hurts' side.
Best odds: +375 via BetMGM | Implied probability: 21.05%
Super Bowl MVP prediction
Xavier Worthy (+4000 via BetRivers)
Chiefs wideout Xavier Worthy's role appears to be growing with each passing week. After putting together a solid performance against the Houston Texans, he was plenty busy against the Buffalo Bills. Worthy earned seven targets - which he turned into 85 yards and a touchdown - and also took two carries for 16 rushing yards.
If this pattern continues, Worthy could be in for a monster game on Feb. 9, and these +4000 odds are far too tantalizing to pass up.
The only other Chiefs offensive player outside of Mahomes who's listed at shorter odds than Worthy is Travis Kelce, and he looked asleep during the AFC Championship Game.
I'd much rather back the more explosive receiving threat if the idea is to fade Mahomes for longer odds.

Best odds: +4000 via BetRivers | Implied probability: 2.44%
