Super Bowl National Anthem Odds 2025: Novelty Props & How to Bet on the National Anthem

The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will meet in the Big Game for the second time in three years, so there's some information at our disposal when making Super Bowl predictions.
However, there isn't a ton of past info we can use when looking at the Super Bowl national anthem odds, so we need to get creative.
Jon Batiste, this year's national anthem performer, offers lots of variety in terms of how he can approach the national anthem based on what we've seen from him in the past.
We've taken a look at every available market for his performance with our Super Bowl national anthem props. But let's focus on the odds for the featured markets with the Big Game only 10 days away.
2025 Super Bowl national anthem odds
Odds via our best Super Bowl betting sites as of Jan. 30.
Market | FanDuel |
---|---|
Anthem total time | Over 120.5 seconds (-142)/Under 120.5 seconds (+114) |
Will the performance include a piano? | Yes (-400)/No (+290) |
Will a player/coach cry? | Yes (-770)/No (+450) |
The main national anthem market is the Over/Under on the total time of the performance. FanDuel Canada was alone among our best NFL betting sites while offering that market one day after the conference championships, and it's setting the total at exactly two minutes.
The total has remained the same since then, but there's been serious movement toward the Over in the last few days. It's priced at -142 after trading at -122 on Monday. That price carries an implied probability of 58.68% (a winning $10 wager would result in a $7.04 profit).
FanDuel also offers two additional markets with significant favorites. It requires bettors to decide whether they believe Batiste will perform with a piano, and if a player or coach will cry during the anthem.
The former was trading at a whopping -650 for "Yes" initially. But that's now moved to -400, perhaps casting some doubt as to which instrument will be played during the performance, if any.
Meanwhile, with a couple of infamous anthem criers participating in this game, "Yes" has moved from -430 to -770. FanDuel is suggesting there's an 88.51% chance tears will flow.
Batiste has often performed the anthem while playing the piano (and he's sometimes done instrumental-only performances), so it makes sense that Yes is the massive favorite. However, it's possible his ability to play multiple instruments is causing these odds to shift.
How to bet on the Super Bowl national anthem
Betting on the Super Bowl national anthem really comes down to the Over/Under on the total time of the performance.
Pick which side you believe the song's conclusion will fall on - in this case, it's two minutes on the dot at opening - and make your wager based on that.
The Over opened as the favorite, so our best sportsbooks are suggesting that's the most likely result. However, the total time listed can change, so pay attention to the total before you bet on the Over or Under.
When is the Super Bowl national anthem decided?
The Super Bowl national anthem Over/Under is decided at the conclusion of the performance, though it's vital to know when it officially ends.
Many bettors believed the Over hit last year because McEntire's performance ended at 95 seconds. However, that's when the second "brave" ended, and most of our best sports betting apps clarify that the official end point of the national anthem is after the first "brave." That's why her official time was 88 seconds, and why the Under cashed.
It's critical to note that distinction when betting on the national anthem.

Super Bowl 51 | Luke Bryan | 2:04 | Under |
Super Bowl 52 | P!NK | 1:52 | Under |
Super Bowl 53 | Gladys Knight | 2:01 | Over |
Super Bowl 54 | Demi Lovato | 1:49 | Under |

You won't find a ton of actionable betting information based on the trends of the last 10 Super Bowl national anthem performances. Of those, the Over hit six times and the Under cashed in four instances. Every artist comes with a distinct style.
There aren't really any artists of those 10 who are especially comparable to Batiste, though six performed for two-plus minutes. Most of that group is more in line with Batiste than McEntire, as she's the outlier based on the time of her performance.
What do Super Bowl odds mean?
Summary of American odds:
- Negative odds (-): Indicates the favorite, and how much you need to bet to win $100. For example, -150 means you need to bet $150 to win $100.
- Positive odds (+): Indicates the underdog, and how much you would win if you bet $100. For example, +200 means a $100 bet would win you $200 if the underdog wins.
When placing a bet, you’ll also typically encounter the term "juice" or "vig", which is the sportsbook's commission. Most bets are listed at odds of -110, meaning you’d have to bet $110 to win $100.
