Will the Kansas City Chiefs achieve an unprecedented three-peat? Or will the Philadelphia Eagles avenge their Super Bowl 57 loss to the same opponent? Either way, history will be made when the NFL's best collide at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

Our Chiefs vs. Eagles spread odds analyze the betting line for the Big Game. Our best Super Bowl betting sites list Kansas City as a slight favorite to win its fourth ring in six seasons.

Kickoff is slated for 6:30 p.m. ET (FOX) on Sunday, Feb. 9. Let's dive straight into the full odds, which give the Chiefs a 1.5-point edge.

2025 Super Bowl spread odds

SportsbookChiefsEagles
DraftKings-1.5 (-110)+1.5 (-110)
FanDuel-1.5 (-110) +1.5 (-110)
BetMGM-1.5 (-115) +1.5 (-105)
Caesars-1.5 (-110)+1.5 (-110)
bet365-1.5 (-110)+1.5 (-110)

Kansas City remains the Super Bowl odds favorite after being the underdog in this matchup two seasons ago. The Chiefs are a consensus 1.5-point favorite across our best sports betting sites.

Most of our best NFL betting sites list both sides at standard juice (-110) to cover the spread. Those odds carry a 52.38% implied probability that the two-time reigning Super Bowl champion will cover, and present better value than the Super Bowl moneyline odds.

The lone exception is BetMGM, which lists Kansas City at -115 and Philadelphia at -105. As such, if you're looking to back the underdogs by the betting line, BetMGM is the sportsbook that will give you the most bang for your buck.

Only two books - bet365 and Caesars - shifted the line in the Chiefs' favor. They had Patrick Mahomes and Co. listed as 2-point favorites around 24 hours after the odds opened. However, the market has settled back to the aforementioned number.

If the line at kickoff is anything under a field goal in either direction, it'll be the smallest closing spread in New Orleans Super Bowl history. Currently, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Eagles hold that title, who closed as 3-point favorites in Super Bowl 9 and Super Bowl 15, respectively.

Given the minimal movement in the market throughout Pro Bowl week, we wouldn't expect much to change with the spread leading up to the Big Game. Early returns on the spread are showing the public backing Philadelphia at a 51% clip.

How to bet on the Super Bowl

1. Point spread betting (covering the spread)

In point spread betting, one team is considered the "favorite" and the other the "underdog." The favorite must win by a certain number of points (the spread) for a bet on them to win. The underdog can either win outright or lose by fewer points than the spread to win the bet.

  • Example:
    • At DraftKings, the Chiefs are -1.5 (-110) vs. the +1.5 Eagles (-100)
    • The Chiefs are favored by 1.5 points at DraftKings. If you bet on the Chiefs, they must win by at least two points for the bet to pay out
    • The Eagles are the 1.5-point underdogs. If you back the Eagles, they must lose by one point or win the Super Bowl for the bet to pay out
    • A $110 bet on the Chiefs will profit $100 if they win by at least two points
    • A $110 bet on the Eagles will yield a $100 profit if the Eagles win or lose by one point

2. Moneyline betting (straight bet on the winner)

In a moneyline bet, you are simply betting on which team will win the game, with the odds reflecting the likelihood of each team winning.

  • Example:
    • The Chiefs are -125 favorites, and the Eagles are +105 underdogs at BetMGM
    • A winning $125 bet on the Chiefs will profit $100
    • A successful $100 bet on the Eagles will profit $105
    • The negative number in front of the Chiefs' odds (-125) represents the favorite, while the positive number preceding the Eagles' odds (+105) indicates the underdog

3. Over/Under (total points)

With an Over/Under bet, you are predicting whether the total combined points of both teams will be higher or lower than a set number.

  • Example:
    • DraftKings has the total set at 49.5
    • DraftKings Over 49.5 (-110) vs Under 49.5 (-110)
    • If you bet on the Over, you need the combined score of both teams to be 50 points or more for your bet to win
    • If you bet on the Under, you need the combined score to be 49 points or fewer

Our Super Bowl Over/Under odds detail the current total for the Big Game.

4. Prop bets (proposition bets)

Prop bets are wagers on specific events or statistics during the game, such as which player will score the first touchdown, how many yards a player will rush, or whether the game will have a safety. You can bet on player props or game props, the latter includes such bets as the Over/Under on how many points a team will score in the first quarter.

  • Example:
    • Will the first touchdown be scored by a running back? Yes (-130), No (+110)
    • In this case, a $130 bet on "Yes" would win $100 if the first touchdown is scored by a running back. A $100 bet on "No" would win $110 if the first touchdown is scored by someone else.

5. Parlay betting

A parlay allows you to combine multiple bets (point spread, moneyline, over/under, etc.) into one bet. You can also parlay individual player prop picks. The potential payout increases because you’re betting on several outcomes, but all of them must win for you to collect.

  • Example:
    • You could parlay the Eagles to cover at (-105), and Under on 49.5 combined points (-110)
    • The combined odds of that parlay are +273, implying a 26.81% implied probability. If both legs hit, you'd earn a $273 profit on a $100 bet.
    • Compare that to the $93.07 profit you'd earn on the same two $50 individual bets

What do Super Bowl odds mean?

Summary of American odds:

  • Negative odds (-): Indicates the favorite, and how much you need to bet to win $100. For example, -140 means you need to bet $140 to win $100.
  • Positive odds (+): Indicates the underdog, and how much you would win if you bet $100. For example, +220 means a $100 bet would win you $220 if the underdog wins.

When placing a bet, you’ll also typically encounter the term "juice" or "vig", which is the sportsbook's commission. Most bets are listed at odds of -110, meaning you’d have to bet $110 to win $100.
