Top Thursday Night Football Prop Picks: Cowboys vs. Saints
The Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints both need to turn things around with a win in Week 13. What are the best prop picks for Thursday Night Football?
Both the Cowboys and Saints lost games at home on Thanksgiving Day. This Thursday, they will face off with the hope of getting back on track. The Saints have lost four straight games, and the Cowboys are at risk of losing the top seed in the NFC East after dropping three of their last four games.
Let’s focus on some prop picks to make this game more interesting. With both teams trending down, these props will add spice to Thursday Night Football.
Here are my top prop picks for the Week 13 Thursday Night Football matchup between the Cowboys and Saints (odds via FanDuel Sportsbook).
Top Thursday Night Football Prop Picks
Taysom Hill scores a touchdown (+220)Dak Prescott Over 280.5 passing yards (-110)Ezekiel Elliot Over 63.5 rushing + receiving yards (-113)

Thursday Night Football Prop Bets
Hill to score a touchdown (+220)
As always, the touchdown scorer is the player who rushes or receives the touchdown. Still, I like the value of this pick at better than 2-1 odds. Hill will start at quarterback for the Saints, and they will likely try to run the ball a ton against a Cowboys front line that ranks just 18th by defensive rush DVOA.
The Saints passing attack is weak right now, and their lack of a true WR1 makes it vital that they run the ball. Without RB Alvin Kamara again in Week 13, expect more runs from RB Mark Ingram and Hill. If they get in the red zone, they should simply run the ball with the versatile Hill.
The Saints don’t usually get cute when Hill is the starting quarterback, but they need a win here. At the end of the day, you pay him to be a gadget guy. Let him do that in the red zone and score a rushing touchdown to hit our first Thursday Night Football prop pick.
Prescott Over 280.5 passing yards (-110)
This is a high line for the Over, but the Saints' secondary has been weak this year. They allow 251.8 passing yards per game, and Prescott is one of the better passers in the NFL.
Prescott has been back from injury for four games, and he should have the full playbook at his disposal.
With WR Amari Cooper potentially returning, along with CeeDee Lamb, the Cowboys will have reliable targets that can win with the deep ball. The Saints like to muddy the trenches, so the way to win will be on the outside. Prescott should get plenty of pass attempts, and I like him to hit 300 yards.
Elliot Over 63.5 rushing + receiving yards (-113)
Elliott has been moderately disappointing this season, but he is still an incredibly solid running back with tons of upside. He can fall forwards on gains to add extra yards, and he has solid vision and athleticism when he gets in the open field.
His touches haven’t been as high in recent weeks due to the emergence of RB Tony Pollard, but I still like him to hit the Over on total yardage on Thursday. All he will need to do is find a few plays that break loose for chunk gains. Sixty-four scrimmage yards for a back of Elliot’s caliber should not be out of the question.
Pollard is usually the receiving back, but Elliot has 228 receiving yards on 38 catches through 11 games. If he turns a screen or two into a first down, the Over should hit, and cash our final Thursday Night Football prop pick.
