After their Week 18 loss cost them a shot at an all-important first-round bye, the Minnesota Vikings hit the road to face the Los Angeles Rams at 8 p.m. ET (ABC/ESPN) from State Farm Stadium (Glendale, Ariz.), to conclude NFL Wild Card Weekend.

Our Vikings vs. Rams early picks and odds see value in Los Angeles as a home underdog across our best sportsbooks after handling Minnesota under similar circumstances in the regular season.

This game was relocated from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. on Thursday evening due to wildfires in the area of the Rams' home stadium.

My early Vikings vs. Rams prediction: Rams +1.5

The final game of Wild Card Weekend features a rematch from Week 8 when the Vikings suffered a 30-20 defeat to the Rams on Thursday Night Football at SoFi Stadium.

That game marked a notable turning point in Los Angeles’ season, as it was Puka Nacua’s first game back from an early-season injury. Beginning that Thursday night, the Rams won eight of their next 10 to clinch a playoff spot before resting their starters in Week 18.

Matthew Stafford put up 279 passing yards and four touchdowns against a Minnesota pass defense that ended the season ranked 28th in the NFL. Though the Vikings have one of the league’s top statistical run defenses, the Rams rank 24th in rushing yards per game and have had no issues stacking wins, anyway.

Los Angeles enters this matchup with well-rested starters and their strengths line up against the Vikings' weaknesses. That's why I'd recommend taking the points on the side that already won this matchup before.

Moneyline

  • Vikings best odds: -122 via DraftKings | Implied probability: 54.95%
  • Rams best odds: +108 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 48.08%

If the spread moves any closer toward pick 'em, the moneyline value on the Rams becomes an interesting trend to monitor. As of this writing, you can still score odds on Los Angeles between +102 and +108, with FanDuel providing the best value.

Minnesota backers who aren’t looking to rip up their tickets in the event of a narrow victory can land -122 odds from DraftKings on Vikings ML, a slight edge over -125 or -126 at some of our other best sports betting apps.

Spread

The Rams opened as a two-point home underdog, and after momentarily moving to +2.5, we’ve seen momentum behind Los Angeles across our best live betting sites.

The Rams sit +1.5 across our top sportsbooks as of Monday afternoon, with Los Angeles backers finding the most affordable odds from FanDuel.

Over/Under

  • Over best odds: 47 (-110) via BetMGM
  • Under best odds: 47.5 (-115) via FanDuel

This total opened at 47.5, a number you can still get at FanDuel if you’re looking to play the Under. Over bettors have seen favorable movement at several other sportsbooks, lopping off the hook to land on the key number of 47.

That movement strikes me as an early reaction to Minnesota’s offensive woes on Sunday night in Detroit. For an indoor game at SoFi Stadium between two teams that reached 50 total points in their regular-season matchup, I’d be surprised to see this total fall much further.
