Here's our first peek at the NFL Week 14 odds and betting lines from our best NFL betting sites. A rare primetime over was a treat on Thursday Night Football to start the Week as the New England Patriots pulled off an upset victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, and more great action awaits us on Sunday and Monday.

The marquee matchup of Week 14 features the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium on Sunday Night Football. The NFC East showdown will undoubtedly stir up the Super Bowl odds and NFL MVP odds.

In Week 14, an AFC matchup of particular interest unfolds as the Kansas City Chiefs host the Buffalo Bills in a 2021 AFC Divisional Round rematch. The Bills, facing challenges compared to preseason expectations, will likely require a road upset to stay competitive in the playoff race. Following a Week 13 loss on Sunday Night Football, the Chiefs must secure a victory to remain in contention for the top seed in the AFC.

The Jacksonville Jaguars versus Cleveland Browns and Denver Broncos versus Los Angeles Chargers matchups will also carry AFC postseason implications. In the NFC, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons engage in a divisional clash, while the San Francisco 49ers aim to secure their fifth consecutive victory over the rival Seattle Seahawks.

NFL Week 14 odds and lines

There's an advantage to betting the early NFL odds when attempting to beat the closing line. The closer you wait until kickoff to make your NFL picks, the harder it becomes to identify edges and secure the best price on most sides or totals.

That's why it's important to start monitoring the NFL opening odds each week as soon as possible. A proactive approach is the first step to long-term success.

Heading into the weekend, five home underdogs remain in the opening Week 14 odds after the Browns flipped to favorites on the heels of an injury to Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence. Just three teams — the Ravens, 49ers, and Dolphins — are spotting their opponent more than a touchdown.

A loss on Sunday also moved the Chiefs off the 3-point number, as the reigning Super Bowl champions shifted to -2.5 by Monday and -1.5 by Friday for their matchup with the Bills.

A strong showing from the Bengals on Monday Night Football has flipped them from short underdogs to short favorites against the Colts.

The Dolphins, 49ers, and Ravens are the largest favorites in Week 14. Of the six divisional matchups on the docket, five of those games are between NFC teams. In general, there wasn't a lot of significant movement during the week, except the Browns and Bengals flipping from underdogs to favorites based on Monday Night Football's outcome.

(Odds via bet365)

We've seen some major shifts over the week with the totals. Bengals QB Jake Browning's play on Monday Night Football has lifted the hopes for the offense with starter Joe Burrow sidelined and driven up the number as they host the Colts, while an injury to Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence has driven the number down for their matchup with the Browns in Cleveland. Weather concerns in Baltimore have caused a sharp dip in the number for the Ravens meeting with the Rams.
