Jets. vs Blues Prediction, Odds & Expert Picks: NHL Player Props & Best Bets for Thursday, April 24

Last updated: April 24, 2025 10:23 AM EDT • 6 min read X Social Google News Link

The Winnipeg Jets have allowed just one 5-on-5 goal to the St. Louis Blues through the first two games of their Stanley Cup playoff series. Winnipeg can take a 3-0 stranglehold lead tonight when it visits St. Louis for Game 3 (9:30 p.m. ET, ESPN2, CBC, and Sportsnet), and we're diving in with our Jets vs. Blues prediction.
However, the Blues have been a tough nut to crack recently at Enterprise Center, outscoring opponents 57-22 during a 14-1-1 run in their last 16 as hosts. Can Winnipeg buck that trend and push St. Louis to the brink of elimination? We break down the matchup with our NHL picks, including player prop bets and same-game parlay.

🎯 Jets vs. Blues Game 3 prediction

📰 Jets vs. Blues Game 3 preview
After dropping a pair of hard-fought games in Winnipeg, the St. Louis Blues hope the series will turn now that the next two games are in Missouri. The Blues’ recent play at Enterprise Center provides reason for optimism, as St. Louis has gone 14-1-1 in its last 16 games on home ice, outshooting its opposition 57-22 in the process.
Those stats, combined with St. Louis being desperate to avoid a 3-0 series hole, are likely enough to convince many to take a shot with the underdog Blues. In fact, early betting action indicates support for the Blues. After opening as +120 underdogs on the moneyline, St. Louis moved to even money at BetMGM by Wednesday night.
However, a lot of the Blues’ recent success at home took place during a franchise-record 12-game winning streak. Since that streak ended with an April 7 loss (coincidentally in Winnipeg), the Blues have dropped four of five, with the lone victory coming against a non-playoff opponent in the Utah Hockey Club.
Perhaps St. Louis is simply coming back down to earth at the worst possible time. If you step back and consider the Blues didn’t clinch a playoff spot until the final week, being able to grab the President’s Trophy-winning Jets at -115 odds suddenly looks like an incredible bargain. As tough as Winnipeg is to beat at home, the Jets were also 26-15 on the road this season, and they’ve won during 12 of their last 14 visits to Missouri.
It appears Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck may have put his recent postseason struggles behind him, as he's allowed two goals over the last five periods during this series. Winnipeg has held the Blues to just 39 shots and one 5-on-5 goal through two games. Mark Scheifele and Kyle Connor, the Jets' key stars, have combined for nine points so far, while Pavel Buchnevich is the only Blue to have recorded more than one.
Add it all up, and I’m happy to grab the Jets at this low price. Look for Winnipeg to smother St. Louis’ struggling attack once again tonight and move within a game of advancing to the second round.

🚨 Kyle Connor Over 0.5 goals ⭐⭐⭐
We successfully backed Connor to score in Game 2 at +135 odds. Now we get a chance to try again at an even better price?
Sign me up, especially considering how much Connor has been tormenting the Blues in his career. His two goals in this series give him five and four helpers across eight postseason matchups against St Louis, and he’s also collected 14 goals and 33 points in 27 career regular-season games versus the Blues.
Bet365 offers the best odds on this prop with a generous +165. But you can also find +150 at FanDuel and +145 at BetMGM.

🚨 Robert Thomas Over 0.5 power-play points ⭐⭐
If the Blues are going to have any chance of getting back into this series, they need more from their leading scorer. Although Thomas did score a goal in Game 1, Winnipeg’s top line has badly outclassed the center and his linemates. Thomas holds a minus-4 rating through two games.
Given St. Louis’ struggles to generate offense in this series at 5-on-5, I’d rather back Thomas to collect a powerplay point at +220 odds than lay -220 for him to earn a point of any kind. Thomas’ marker in this series came when St. Louis held the man advantage, and nearly one-quarter of his points this year have come with the Blues on the power play.
💰 Best odds: +220 via BetMGM

🚨 Josh Morrissey Over 0.5 points ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
After collecting two assists in the opener, Winnipeg’s top defenseman was held off the scoresheet on Tuesday, although he did post a plus-1 rating while recording two shots on net.
The scoreless outing snapped a five-game scoring streak for the Norris Trophy odds contender. At nearly even odds, I’ll take my chances while backing Morrisey to get back into the point column during Game 3. A $10 wager at BetMGM pays $9.09.
