Kings vs. Oilers Player Props: Game 4 Odds & NHL Expert Picks for Sunday, April 27

The Los Angeles Kings and Edmonton Oilers have combined for 30 goals in their wild first-round Stanley Cup playoff series.
Our Kings vs. Oilers player props, prediction, and NHL picks expect another high-scoring contest in Sunday's Game 4 (9:30 p.m. ET, TBS). Some of our best sports betting sites have set the total at 6.5, and Edmonton is the -135 favorite to level the series.
With tonight's game on tap, we're looking for our fourth straight correct Over prediction.
📰 Kings vs. Oilers Game 4 preview
Backup goalie Calvin Pickard replaced Stuart Skinner in Game 3, and head coach Kris Knoblauch praised him as being “very solid” after allowing four goals on 28 shots.
That tells you all you need to know about the style of hockey being played. Games 1-3 averaged 10 goals, with each contest flying over the total.
Both teams’ power plays went a perfect 2-for-2 in Game 3, improving LA to 7-for-12. And if you need more indicators about how no lead is safe in this series, Edmonton’s third-period rally marked just the second time this season that LA lost a road game in regulation after leading through two periods.
There’s little reason to expect anything different Sunday night. Edmonton’s defense has struggled to limit chances without injured mainstay Mattias Ekholm, and its offense has scored at least three goals in 10 of the last 11 at Rogers Place. I’ll back the Over for the fourth time in this series, with a small play on Edmonton to square the series headed back to LA.

🔎 Our NEW NHL player prop odds tool can help you find the best NHL odds across legal sportsbooks in your area!
🚨 Adrian Kempe Over 0.5 assists ⭐⭐⭐
Kempe enters action as the playoff-scoring leader, averaging three points per outing through the series' first three games. His postseason performance extends a heater that saw him collect nine points in LA’s final four regular-season games.
Our best NHL betting sites have shortened Kempe’s odds accordingly, with some sportsbooks charging more than -200 on him to earn a point tonight and offering less than 2:1 on Kempe to score a goal. However, I still see value in the assists market at FanDuel’s +120 odds. Kempe has collected 12 helpers over his last seven games.
Another option to cash in on Kempe’s red-hot run is to play him Over 0.5 power play points at +160. Five of his nine points in this series have come with the man advantage.

🚨 Evan Bouchard Over 2.5 shots ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Bouchard has taken more than his share of criticism for his defensive play, but his offensive game is a different story. Edmonton’s top blueliner shook off a minus-2 rating in Game 2 by producing a pair of goals Friday, including sneaking into the slot to convert the game-winner midway through the third period.
He also had four shots on net for the second time this series, and he’s recorded multiple shots on goal in six of his last seven and eight of 10. With Bouchard priced at -160 to record a point, I’d rather play a less juicy option of backing him to clear the 2.5 shots plateau tonight. DraftKings and bet365 are offering even odds, while Caesars is at -104.

🚨 Viktor Arvidsson Over 0.5 goals ⭐
After reuniting Leon Draisaitl with Connor McDavid on the top line earlier in this series, Knoblauch broke the tandem up again in Game 3. Draisaitl teamed with Arvidsson and Vasily Podkolzin to form one of Edmonton’s most effective lines at 5-on-5, and we should see that combination again on Sunday night.
Of Draisaitl’s two linemates, Arvidsson is likelier to put the puck in the net. He’s a five-time 20-goal scorer, potted 15 during the regular season for Edmonton and added one in Game 2. He’s also posted multiple shots on goal in 12 of his last 13 games. At the 5-to-1 odds, you can get at bet365, it’s worth a shot on Arvidsson finding the net again in Game 4.
