WNBA Championship Odds 2025: Liberty Favorites, Clark's Fever Climbing Oddsboards

Phoenix Mercury legend Diana Taurasi announced her retirement after 20 years, ending one of the most impactful careers in WNBA history. The 42-year-old departs as a three-time WNBA champion, WNBA MVP, and 11-time All-Star.
How does the departure of one of the game's greatest-ever players impact the WNBA championship odds?
The New York Liberty still hold a narrow advantage over the Aces, who foiled Las Vegas' three-peat attempt last season. Meanwhile, both Caitlin Clark's Indiana Fever and Taurasi's former team Phoenix are climbing the oddsboards at our best sports betting sites.

WNBA championship odds favorites
Liberty (+250)

After making the WNBA Finals two year ago and losing to the Aces, Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu were finally able to bring the Big Apple its first WNBA championship. The Liberty should be positioned well to repeat with those two making up arguably the league's best one-two punch.
The team will also feature Jonquel Jones and Betnijah Laney-Hamilton back to give it a strong third and fourth scoring option. However, these odds are quite short already while paying just a $25 profit on a $10 winning bet, especially with the Aces' recent trade to bolster their roster.

Aces (+320)
While the Aces failed to pull off a three-peat after falling to the Liberty in the semifinals, Las Vegas still boasts the best player on the planet in A'ja Wilson. The superstar is coming off her third MVP win, and there's a new Robin to her Batman with the Aces' recent blockbuster trade.
Las Vegas mainstay Kelsey Plum was shipped to the Los Angeles Sparks in a three-team trade that brings Seattle Storm All-Star Jewell Loyd to Sin City. The six-time All-Star is among the league's best scorers, and she gives the Aces a terrifying trio alongside Wilson and Jackie Young.

WNBA championship odds contenders
Fever (+475)

Clark undoubtedly lived up to her wild hype as a rookie while carrying Indiana to the playoffs. But I don't think taking the Fever at odds this short is a smart bet given how loaded the Liberty, Aces, and Lynx are in comparison. Betting on Clark to win MVP would be the better play.
While I do envision Indiana improving after going 20-20 last season, and hiring Stephanie White as head coach was a smart move, the team is probably still a year or two away from competing with the top three clubs. That said, re-signing Kelsey Mitchell was a big-time move from the front office.

WNBA MVP odds favorites
A'ja Wilson (+200)

It's hard to bet against Wilson winning her fourth MVP award. The 28-year-old just produced the best statistical season of her career, with career highs in both points per game (26.9, a league high) and rebounds per game (11.9, second-most in the league). Additionally, the Aces look ready to get back to the WNBA Finals with the addition of Loyd.
Still, Wilson could experience a downtick in point production since less will be needed from her thanks to Loyd joining the team. I could see the combination of voter fatigue and that decrease in production hurting her chances, especially with the hype surrounding Clark ahead of her second season.

Caitlin Clark WNBA MVP odds
Caitlin Clark (+240)
It was a slightly bumpy start to her rookie campaign, but Clark was dominant for the Fever down the stretch last season. The 2024 No. 1 pick ended up leading the WNBA in 3-pointers per game (3.0), assists per game (8.4), and she finished seventh in points per contest (19.2).
Clark should be in the thick of the MVP race if she takes another step forward as a sophomore under White. The narrative is already on the guard's side, which goes a long way in an MVP race in any league, and she's a dominant passer with unlimited 3-point range.
This will be a top-notch MVP race if she can score more frequently and cut back on turnovers.

How to read WNBA odds
When looking at WNBA title odds, it's important to note that the team that is "most likely" to win will have the shortest odds, i.e., the smaller number attached to their name.
For example, the Las Vegas Aces entered the season as an overwhelming favorite with odds between -105 and +110. Those -105 odds imply a 51.22% probability Las Vegas wins it all, but the +110 odds are a better value, with a $10 bet leading to a $9.09 profit.
The longer the odds are, the bigger the profit they'll return if the bet hits. For example, the Indiana Fever entered the year with +2500 odds, so a $10 bet on Indiana to win the championship would result in a $250 profit if Caitlin Clark leads the Fever to the title.
