The Boston Celtics (31-14) will look to bounce back from their worst loss of the season when they visit the Dallas Mavericks (24-21) on Saturday. Tipoff from American Airlines Center in Dallas is at 5:30 p.m. ET (ABC).
The Celtics, who have struggled by their championship standards for the past month but remain the NBA Championship odds favorite, are coming off a 117-96 defeat to the Los Angeles Lakers. They are still 8.5-point road favorites over the Mavericks, who remain without Luka Doncic and have gone 2-5 over their past seven outings.

Best Celtics vs. Mavericks prop predictions
Payton Pritchard prop pick: Over 11.5 points ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Pritchard should see a minutes increase if Derrick White (questionable) is ruled out. The market seems to agree, as the reserve guard's points prop has climbed from 10.5 to 11.5 overnight.
Pritchard has failed to score more than nine points in his last two outings, but the volume has been there. He’s attempted double-digit shots in four straight games, matching Jayson Tatum in field goal attempts last time out.
His lead in the NBA Sixth Man of the Year odds race has gotten tighter in recent weeks, so I think he’s due for a big performance on the national stage to remind everyone why he’s the favorite.

Daniel Gafford prop pick: Double-double ⭐⭐⭐
Since the Mavericks lost center Dereck Lively II, Gafford has taken over as the team’s primary big man. He’s played 30-plus minutes in three of his past five games, with the lone exceptions being when he’s dealt with foul trouble.
In the three games he’s seen a ton of playing time, Gafford has recorded two double-doubles. He’s averaged 18.4 points and 10.6 rebounds over his previous five outings.
Rather than touch his rebounds line (8.5), I’d prefer to take the +150 price on his double-double odds. That’s his upside if he can avoid foul trouble against a Boston team that gets the bulk of its scoring production from long-range.

Kyrie Irving prop pick: Under 9.5 rebounds + assists ⭐⭐⭐
Since Doncic went down, Irving has picked up the scoring slack. He’s scored 24-plus points in four straight contests, averaging 27.7 points in the nine games since Doncic was sidelined on Christmas Day.
However, this has limited his impact in other statistical categories, including rebounds and assists. Since Dec. 25, Irving has averaged 4.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists, clearing this combo prop only twice.
