Women's March Madness Odds 2025: South Carolina Favorite To Repeat; UCLA, UConn Trail
South Carolina continues to lead the Women's March Madness odds with the bulk of Dawn Staley's championship roster back and thriving in Columbia after winning the title last season.
The Gamecocks are the clear leaders at our March Madness betting sites with UCLA, UConn, Notre Dame, and USC as the only other programs with odds shorter than 25/1.

- UCLA: The Bruins' early win over the Gamecocks has Cori Close's team in good shape to earn another high seed in the NCAA Tournament
- UConn: Geno Auriemma and Paige Bueckers have the Huskies once again looking like one of the best teams in the country
- Notre Dame: With Hannah Hidalgo carrying a top-notch offense, the Fighting Irish already have two key wins over USC and UConn

South Carolina (+200)
South Carolina has won two of the last three NCAA Tournament's and has reached the Final Four in four straight seasons. It doesn't look like much will change this year with so many of last season's key players back in the fold.
The Gamecocks are one of the most well-rounded teams in the country and have a rotation that goes nine-deep, led by star guards Te-Hina Paopao, Raven Johnson, and MiLaysia Fulwiley. If Staley can lead South Carolina to back-to-back titles, a $10 bet pays a $20 profit - it helps that the early loss to UCLA has lengthened these odds.

UCLA (+460)
Only one team has handed the defending champs a loss this season, and that was UCLA when the Bruins blew the Gamecocks out by 15 on Nov. 24. A lot has changed since then, but UCLA keeps thriving.
Thanks to center Lauren Betts, the Bruins have a dominant force inside on both ends of the court. She's a complete game changer the way Kamilla Cardoso was for South Carolina last year ... which is why I'd take UCLA over UConn at this point.

UConn (+490)
As Auriemma tries to end his dry spell at UConn - the Huskies haven't won an NCAA Tournament since 2015-16 - Bueckers is again living up to her billing as one of the most talented players to ever play in Storrs. With the star point guard leading the way, UConn has the best defense in the country and should earn a top-two seed in the NCAA Tournament.
However, the Huskies have already lost to the Fighting Irish and Trojans, which is why I don't love that their odds are longer than both. They play South Carolina in mid-February, and another loss could lengthen these odds.

My women's March Madness contender to watch
USC (+600)
Watkins has taken the torch from Caitlin Clark as the most prolific scorer in women's college basketball, and in a few years, she might even break a few of the former Iowa star's records. With Watkins running the show for Lindsay Gottlieb, nobody is going to want to see the Trojans in March.
Her ability to take over games is terrifying and wins over UConn and Maryland showed why. But the Trojans aren't a one-star team either, Kiki Iriafen is the perfect frontcourt complement to Watkins and those two could give any team a run for their money.
