Women's Wooden Award Odds 2025: JuJu Watkins Runaway Favorite Over Hidalgo, Betts

While the women's Wooden Award odds race isn't quite over with Notre Dame's Hannah Hidalgo and UCLA's Lauren Betts still earning an outside chance, it's clear this is JuJu Watkins' award to lose.
The USC star is the overwhelming favorite at our March Madness betting sites after a dominant stretch to close the regular season and carry the Trojans to the Big Ten Tournament title game. Even though Watkins' Trojans fell to Betts' Bruins in the conference championship, it doesn't look like the sophomore is going to lose this award.

Wooden Award odds from our best sports betting apps.
- JuJu Watkins: Trading as the plus-money third-favorite not long ago, Watkins cooked five ranked teams to close the regular season, including putting up 38, 30, and 29 points in three games against UCLA
- Hannah Hidalgo: After Notre Dame's upset losses to NC State and Florida State moved the Fighting Irish from No. 1 in the AP Top 25 Poll, Hidalgo's odds to win the Wooden lengthened, and it didn't help that the Irish lost to Duke in the ACC Tournament
- Lauren Betts: The catalyst behind an early-season upset of South Carolina, UCLA's Betts is the best frontcourt player in the country, and she helped the Bruins redeem themselves after two regular-season losses to USC while beating the Trojans for the Big Ten Tournament title
- Paige Bueckers: Despite taking down South Carolina and winning the Big East Tournament to help UConn become Women's March Madness odds favorites, Bueckers isn't in the Wooden Award odds race

βοΈ JuJu Watkins Wooden Award odds (-500)

While Clark led the nation with 31.6 points per game last year, Watkins was second at 27.1, and she's continuing that stellar play into her second season at USC. The sophomore has cut back on her turnovers and is shooting the ball more efficiently.
Watkins has the Trojans poised to earn a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, and if she can win the Wooden, a $10 bet at DraftKings would yield a $2 profit. Given how she put on a show against UCLA three times, there's almost no way Hidalgo or Betts will overtake her on the odds board. It also doesn't hurt that she's the most popular name in women's hoops.

βοΈ Hannah Hidalgo Wooden Award odds (+500)

Watkins vs. Hidalgo vs. Betts for the Wooden Award looked like it could end up being an all-timer. However, Notre Dame's struggles to close the regular season effectively ended Hidalgo's chances of catching up to Watkins, even though she's been the more consistent shooter.
Another feather in Hidalgo's cap is the Fighting Irish recorded a 13-point win over the Trojans earlier in the season, a game in which she put up 24 points, eight assists, and five steals. But at this point, it's hard to bet against Watkins after the Irish lost to NC State, Florida State, and Duke, especially with Hidalgo going just 21-for-66 from the floor in those games (31.8%).
Best odds: +500 via DraftKings | Implied probability: 16.67%
π» Lauren Betts Wooden Award odds (+1000)

An upset win over the Gamecocks in November showed just how high UCLA's ceiling is with Betts at center. The 6-foot-7 junior went off for 11 points, 14 rebounds, four assists, and four blocks against South Carolina, proving she's the best two-way player in the country.
Though she's not as offensively gifted as Hidalgo or Watkins, Betts is one of the nation's best rebounders and rim-protectors. While it's hard to imagine Betts beating Watkins out for the Wooden, she did beat her in the Big Ten Tournament title game while putting up 17 points, four steals, and four blocks.
Best odds: +1000 via DraftKings | Implied probability: 9.09%
