Not only are the Minnesota Vikings one of two teams with an undefeated record, but they're also the only team with an immaculate 5-0 against the spread (ATS) record.

The Super Bowl odds favorite Kansas City Chiefs are the other undefeated team. However, the Chiefs are just 2-1-1 ATS.

  • Four teams are 4-1 ATS entering Week 6 (Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos, Indianapolis Colts, and Washington Commanders)
  • Five teams—the Houston Texans, Carolina Panthers, Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Rams, and Cleveland Browns—are at the other side of the spectrum, sitting dead last with 1-4 ATS records
  • The Texans, tied with the Commanders for the third-best record (4-1), are also tied for the worst ATS record (1-4)

My NFL ATS picks went 8-6 in Week 5 after a 9-7 Week 4 record.

The Buffalo Bills were looking pretty good at +1 to cover against the Houston Texans before Sean McDermott's harebrained decision to throw three straight times from his own goal line with time winding down. So, yeah, I'm still stewing over that one.

These ATS picks are part of our comprehensive Week 6 predictions

Steelers (-3) vs. Raiders

Best odds: -102 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 50.50%

The Las Vegas Raiders (2-3 ATS) were rancid in Denver, losing 34-18 to the Broncos while making Bo Nix look more like John Elway.

Gardner Minshew finally lost the starting job, which means Aidan O'Connell will take over behind center. He's not much of an upgrade.

The Raiders' 23rd-ranked offense gets the task of facing the league's best defense, which was 30 seconds away from holding the Dallas Cowboys to 13 points.

You can almost hear the what-could-have-beens raining down from the terrible towel-wielders. Pittsburgh is tied with Denver for the second-fewest points allowed per contest (14.6).

Meanwhile, Pittsburgh trots out the 16th-ranked offense, and the Raiders are tied with the Cowboys for the worst overall defense. I know where my money is going.

A $10 winning bet at FanDuel pays a $9.80 profit.

Bengals (-3.5) vs. Giants

Best odds: +100 via bet365 | Implied probability: 50%

Thanks to a 102-yard fumble return and a late blocked field goal, the G-Men escaped Seattle with a 29-20 Week 5 victory. You can't collect two pots of gold at the end of the same rainbow, and the Giants will find that out.

The Bengals' offense is ticking again despite a heartbreaking loss this past week to the Baltimore Ravens, with Ja'Marr Chase scoring five touchdowns in the last three games. He's cemented himself as one of the Offensive Player of the Year odds favorites.

Cincinnati should cover as long as their 28th-ranked defense can get a few stops against New York's 24th-ranked offense.

The +100 odds at bet365 pay a $10 profit on a $10 winning bet.

Cardinals vs. Packers (-5.5)

Best odds: -106 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 51.46%

Aside from one inexplicable blunder that cost his team seven points, Jordan Love mitigated his mistakes in Week 5, leading the Green Bay Packers to an impressive 24-19 victory in Los Angeles against the Rams.

Love should be able to move the ball at will against the Arizona Cardinals' 29th-ranked defense.

Don't get me wrong. The will and determination Arizona showed in beating San Francisco were impressive. However, the 49ers are more culpable for throwing that game away. If the 49ers could trot out a suitable replacement kicker, we wouldn't be speaking about one of the most improbable upsets of the season.

While the Cardinals boast the third-ranked offense, I can't see them enjoying as much success against a decent Packers defense at Lambeau Field. And their woeful defense will be their undoing.

Most of our best NFL betting sites are listing the Packers as 5-point favorites. However, FanDuel offers -5.5 at -106, the best value. A winning $10 bet will profit $9.43.
