Commanders vs. Eagles expert picks

Matt Burke: For what it's worth, the last two times the NFC Championship game was held at Lincoln Financial Field, the Eagles won by respective scores of 38-7 and 31-7. When Philly smells Super Bowl blood, it pounces. Saquon Barkley’s ability to break a 60 or 70-yard TD run at any moment gives the Eagles potential to blowout an opponent - or at least beat them by 7 points, which is needed for this bet. Pick: Eagles -6.5 (-105 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Gabe Henderson: While DeVonta Smith has been a consistent touchdown threat, he's not getting a high-volume workload. He's gone Under 4.5 receptions in over 50% of his appearances this year, including the last two. Smith cleared this mark once versus Washington. That performance was in the second game with Kenny Pickett under center. His odds in this market are as high as -160, but we're choosing to play his Under at FanDuel, which gives bettors a slightly better price. Pick: DeVonta Smith Under 4.5 receptions (-146 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Andrew Brennan: Austin Ekeler's projection isn't quite as strong this week after Brian Robinson was trusted with most of the red-zone rushing work, but we're also getting a significantly better price. These +320 odds imply that Ekeler has only a 23.81% chance of finding the end zone, but his projection suggests he's much more likely to score. Pick: Austin Ekeler anytime TD scorer (+320 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Mike Spector: Saquon Barkley has run for 146 and 150 yards against Washington this season, and the Commanders allow a league-high 2.08 yards before contact per attempt by running backs this season. With a trip to the Super Bowl on the line, we should expect the Eagles to utilize Barkley more than ever in a favorable matchup. Pick: Saquon Barkley Over 24.5 rush attempts (-125 via DraftKings) vs. Commanders ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Commanders vs. Eagles Pick 'Em plays

  • Saquon Barkley Over 23.5 yards longest rush: Barkley is one of the best home run hitters (or sprinters, rather) in NFL history. His longest run last week went for 78 yards. In the two games against Washington this season, Barkley had long runs of 39 yards and 68 yards, respectively. A 24-yard run seems more than doable. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 1/2
  • A.J. Brown Over 59.5 receiving yards: Washington’s defense does not exactly do a great job of taking the opponent’s top receiver out of the game. In the past month, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Mike Evans, Drake London and Brown himself have all had 92-yard-plus receiving days against the Washington D. This 59.5 number seems more than doable for Brown. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 1/2
  • Saquon Barkley Over 24.5 rush attempts: The Lions committed a cardinal sin last week in only giving the rock to Jahmyr Gibbs 14 times. In the two games Barkley played against Washington this season, he ran the ball 26 times and 29 times respectively. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Jayden Daniels Over 0.5 interceptions: Jayden Daniels threw just nine interceptions all season but three of them came against the Eagles defense. This Philly D picked off Jordan Love three times in the Wild Card round. The Birds picking off Daniels at least once seems like a solid bet. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
