Donald Trump Odds to Win U.S. Presidential Election 2024: Trump is No Longer the Clear Favorite
The Donald Trump U.S. presidential election odds for 2024 feature him as the narrow favorite at some of our best sports betting sites (outside the U.S.) prior to November's election.
The dog days of an election year seem to have arrived, at least on the oddsboard.
There's been little movement at our best sportsbooks recently, though Donald Trump has long since coughed up the significant lead he held throughout the winter and early spring. Now he sits in a courtroom amid the hush-money trial. His power to captivate is zapped while far removed from the high-intensity rallies he's known for as a candidate.
Trump fell fast over a short time in politics, and he's still listed behind Joe Biden at one of our best sportsbooks in the 2024 U.S. presidential odds. Biden's once deep hole has turned into a dead heat. Is there more stumbling to come from Trump? Or will he rally his always-strong base to recover quickly?
To complement our 2024 U.S. presidential election odds, here is our look at the top Donald Trump presidential election odds for 2024 from our best sportsbooks (odds available only from Ontario sports betting sites).

Donald Trump presidential election odds 2024 analysis
The colossal shift in the odds at our best sports betting sites took place recently, and Trump keeps gradually losing ground.
He's now tumbled so much that Trump is behind Biden at one book, with BetVictor listing the incumbent ahead. Trump's lead at Sports Interaction, BetMGM, and bet365 is nearly as slim as possible.
The former president is suddenly needing to get scrappy, which is how he thrives. But he's handcuffed to some degree short term, as Trump needs to be present in New York with the Daniels hush-money still chugging along.
So he could keep falling back in the odds, or at minimum stay stagnant at our best live betting sites. Biden was listed as long as +240 a short time ago, and now he's commonly down to around +110.
It's even more concerning for Trump when looking at the polls. A recent Marist College poll showed Biden holding a three-point lead. Then a Reuters/Ipsos poll in late April revealed a dead heat and Biden holding a slimmer one-point advantage. But that's still a significant shift from the deficit Biden faced late in the winter when concern was growing about the state of his campaign.
However, both candidates come with their warts. Age is the primary one for Biden, and legal issues are the problem following Trump. But there may be a broader and deeper challenge for both, as a YouGov poll showed that 48% of respondents hold negative feelings about a 2020 rematch.
Trump might also be feeling the impact of the negative headlines tied to his legal entanglements. His Daniels hush-money trial is now underway and is expected to last about two months. He's now officially the first former president to face criminal charges.
But Biden's unpopularity could still be an advantage for Trump no matter how much time he spends in a courtroom. The current president is still struggling in that regard. His approval rating bottomed out at 37.6% and has since rebounded slightly, but it still sits at a lowly 38.1%.
Donald Trump Republican presidential nominee odds 2024
Editor's note: Odds were pulled on March 6 after Nikki Haley announced she was suspending her campaign.
Donald Trump Republican presidential nominee odds analysis 2024
Trump didn't face a real challenge in the Republican field. His odds to become the nominee shortened dramatically just prior to Super Tuesday, going from -2500 to -5000 at bet365. He then officially secured the nomination and enough delegates days later.
Ron DeSantis was once thought to be Trump's top competition, but his campaign fizzled fast before the Florida governor dropped out just before the New Hampshire primary, endorsing Trump in the process. That endorsement contributed to Trump's Republican odds spiking even further.
Nikki Haley was repeatedly thumped too before finally ending her campaign the morning after Super Tuesday. However, she stopped short of endorsing Trump, instead saying she wishes him well, and that the former president now needs to "earn the votes in our party and beyond it who did not support him."
Trump did receive a critical endorsement from Mitch McConnell, the Senate minority leader and one of the most powerful Republicans. The two had once sparred, but now McConnell says he's eager to work with Trump again.
"I look forward to the opportunity of switching from playing defense against the terrible policies the Biden administration has pursued to a sustained offense geared toward making a real difference in improving the lives of the American people,” McConnell said in a statement.
