Our best sports betting sites are all putting the Las Vegas Aces atop the 2024 WNBA Championship odds as the preseason gets underway ahead of the season starting on May 14.

As the WNBA preseason gets underway, with the regular season slated for May 14, the Las Vegas Aces remain the favorite to win it all in 2024.

Coming off back-to-back titles, the Aces are well on their way to building a dynasty behind the play of superstar A'ja Wilson, the WNBA MVP odds favorite.

Once again, Las Vegas' biggest challenger will be the New York Liberty, whom the Aces beat in the 2023 WNBA Championship. The Liberty have last year's MVP in Breanna Stewart and All-Star Sabrina Ionescu.

Knocking off those two star-studded teams won't be easy, but the Indiana Fever are hoping to do it with rookie Caitlin Clark joining an already talented roster. Clark, the No. 1 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, is the most hyped rookie in league history.

Favorites to win 2024 WNBA Championship

Las Vegas Aces (+110 via bet365)

Since opening as a +120 favorite to win the WNBA Championship for the third straight season, the Aces' odds have shortened further. With Wilson leading the team as a two-time MVP, Las Vegas' odds are now even money at four of our five best sportsbooks. The near-consensus +100 odds the Aces bring home a third straight championship represent a 50% implied probability, according to our odds calculator.

The Aces led the league in both offensive and defensive rating during 2023 and lost just one game in the playoffs. Head coach Becky Hammon returns every starter and the vast majority of her bench from a team that went 34-6 in 2023. Las Vegas also bolstered its lineup by drafting Syracuse's Dyaisha Fair, the third all-time scorer in D-I women's college basketball, and Kate Martin, Clark's teammate at Iowa. This is the team to beat in the WNBA.

New York Liberty (+250 via DraftKings)

New York put together a superteam last offseason in hopes of claiming the first championship in franchise history. The Liberty proceeded to lose Game 4 of the WNBA Finals at home against a depleted Aces squad instead, handing Las Vegas the league title.

However, the Liberty were clearly the second-best WNBA team with a 32-8 record on their way to ranking No. 2 in offensive rating and No. 3 in defensive rating. With Stewart as the reigning MVP and Ionescu getting better each season, New York remains the best team in the Eastern Conference.

Indiana Fever (+2500 via DraftKings)

This is a calculated swing for the fences and a true long-shot bet in a WNBA that superstar-led teams dominate. Yet the Fever are an enticing club after they officially landed Clark via the 2024 WNBA Draft.

That's now back-to-back years the Fever have had the No. 1 pick in the draft, and the rebuild should take a giant leap forward this season, as Clark begins her trek to becoming the greatest WNBA player of all time.

Landing the most decorated player in women's basketball history is one thing, but there are also multiple cornerstone pieces in place already for Indiana. Plugging Clark into a lineup with former No. 1 pick Aliyah Boston and All-Star Kelsey Mitchell is mighty interesting.

Understanding WNBA Championship odds

As sportsbooks post WNBA Championship odds ahead of the season starting on May 14, the books will list the team most likely to win the title with the lowest number. For example, the Aces are an overwhelming favorite with odds between +110 and -105. The -105 odds imply a  51.22% probability Las Vegas wins it all, but the +110 odds are a better value with a $10 bet leading to a $9.09 profit.

The longer the odds are, the bigger the profit they'll return if the bet hits. With the Fever's +2000 odds for example, a $10 bet on Indiana to win the championship would result in a $200 profit if Clark led them to the title. While most books use American odds (like we have), some prefer decimal odds. In that case, you can use our odds converter to see them in the American style.
