C.J. Stroud is in exceptional form for the Houston Texans, aiming to secure a sweep against the Jacksonville Jaguars in this week's AFC South clash, as we explore our NFL player props for Week 12, based on the best NFL odds from our best sportsbooks.

Earlier in the season, the Houston Texans secured a commanding 37-17 victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars in their initial matchup. Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud played a key role in the win, throwing two touchdowns for Houston during that game.

Stroud may have his work cut against a Jaguars defense that leads the league in takeaways (20). The rookie quarterback has turned the ball over thrice in back-to-back games.

Jaguars vs. Texans NFL player props: Week 12

C.J. Stroud Over 272.5 passing yards (-114 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Houston is currently the league's top passing team this season, with an average of 297 yards per game. Stroud has been electric recently, averaging 387.3 yards per game through the air across his last three outings. The rookie could be in for another big day against Jacksonville's pass-defense. The Jaguars rank 28th in the league in passing yards allowed per game (265.9). The Texans’ twentieth-ranked rushing offense may struggle against the Jags’ run defense, which ranks fourth in the league. Therefore, Stroud’s arm is likely to be called into action.

Tank Dell Over 61.5 receiving yards (-115 via DraftKings and BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

A beneficiary of Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud’s impressive passing numbers is rookie wide receiver Tank Dell. Dell had a 40-yard touchdown reception against the Cardinals last weekend, his second score of at least 40 yards this season. Only three Texans have had three receiving touchdowns of 40 yards in a single season: Brandin Cooks (2021), Will Fuller V (2020), and  Corey Bradford (2003). Over the last three games, Dell has averaged 106.3 receiving yards per game and scored four touchdowns. As the Texans target the Jaguars’ weak passing defense, expect Stroud to look for his trusty weapon. Dell leads the team in targets and sits hot on the heels of teammate Nico Collins for receptions.

Trevor Lawrence Over 255.5 passing yards (-114 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐

Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawrence is averaging 267 passing yards per game on the road this season. The Jaguars’ signal-caller was 24 of 32 for 262 yards and two touchdowns at home to the Titans last week. The Texans defense ranks 26th in passing yards allowed per game (258.5), which is not much better than the Jaguars. With so much at stake in the division and with the Jags desperate to avoid the sweep, this game could become a shootout, with Lawrence topping this total.
