UFC 303 might be a few cards away, but Conor McGregor's comeback fight against former Bellator champion Michael Chandler is maybe the most hyped fight of the year, and we have you covered with an early look at our McGregor-Chandler odds and betting lines from our best UFC betting sites.

Despite his recent inactivity, Conor McGregor remains one of the most vocal figures in MMA. However, his performance inside the Octagon has been less than stellar, with three losses in his last four bouts, including consecutive defeats to Dustin Poirier. McGregor's last fight in July 2021 ended prematurely in the first round due to a broken leg, leading to a doctor's stoppage.

Similarly, American fighter Michael Chandler has been absent from the Octagon for some time. His most recent fight, a loss to Poirier, took place on Nov. 12, 2022. Despite his accomplishments as a former Bellator lightweight champion, Chandler has encountered challenges since joining the UFC in 2021, tallying a 2-3 record against top-tier opponents.

Here’s our breakdown of the McGregor-Chandler odds and betting lines for the main event of UFC 303 to help with your UFC picks (odds via our best sports betting sites).

Initially, The oddsmakers gave McGregor a slight edge as he looks to get his once-illustrious career back on track, but the odds are starting to shift through early wagering. The best line you can get right now at our best sports betting sites on "The Notorious" is the -102 being hung over at DraftKings, where he's become an underdog. That line implies a 50.50% implied win percentage, which would profit $9.80 on a $10 wager.

McGregor vs. Chandler early pick

Michael Chandler

There is a lot of uncertainty surrounding the 2023 TUF coaches heading into this clash, and ring rust may undoubtedly come into play. McGregor was once a two-division champ, but those days are far in the rearview mirror. Meanwhile, Chandler has not been able to establish the dominance in UFC that he was capable of in Bellator.

But it feels like Chandler has put on better performances of late, despite the losses, while McGregor has just one win since 2016, which came back in 2020. Both men may have lost to Poirier last time out, but Chandler was highly competitive until being submitted in the third round. He's unlikely to face much pressure from McGregor in the way of submissions, as the favorite is just 1-4 in his career via submission, with that lone victory coming in 2012 before he was in the UFC.
